Children's Ministry Overview
Here at First Baptist, the goal of our Children’s Ministry is to help children learn to love God and love others by helping them to: connect to God and the church family, grow in knowledge and faith, serve others, and tell others about Jesus.
Children’s Ministries at FBC Bolivar
1. Children’s Musical—July yearly: Children attend music camp for 1 week at the church to learn a musical and perform the musical the following Sunday evening.
2. Children’s Associational Camp-July yearly: Kids 4th-6th grade can go to our associational camp at Blue Ridge Baptist Camp Ground, Warsaw Missouri to learn more about their walk with God.
3. Children’s Sunday school—9:30am Sundays year round: Children from birth to 5th grade learn from the Bible and wonderful Sunday school teachers.
4. Children’s Mission Groups—7pm Wednesdays during the school year: Children from pre-k through 5th grade learn about missions. Royal Ambassadors (R.A.s) are the boy’s mission groups, and Girls in Action (G.A.s) are the girl’s mission groups. Pre-k and Kindergarteners attend Mission Friends.
5. Vacation Bible School (VBS)—June yearly: A week long time for children ages kindergarten through 5th grade to learn important Biblical lessons through Bible study, crafts, music recreation and rallies.
6. Baby Dedications—periodically throughout the year: A formal dedication of new babies to the Lord in front of the church body. Baby picture and other information will be requested for a slide show presentation.
7. Children’s nursery for Extended Session—Sundays year round: Children from birth up to but not including pre-k
8. Childcare for on campus events: Check with our church office to see what on campus events offer childcare for children.
